Moana has been married for 17 years to a man she calls her Tongan prince and is mother to 6 children - 4 girls, 2 boys. She has been actively involved in school committees, Boards of Trustees, Sea Scouts, part time study, keeping up with children's sports and staying actively involved at church.
Moana comes from a family of ten, with siblings who have all trained in the health field including nursing, mental health work, personal training and the healing arts. She has a keen interest in mirimiri, a traditional Maori healing art that works not only with the physical body, but looks at all aspects of an individual's life eg. Whanau ora, (family health), wairua ora, (spiritual health), hinengaro ora, (mental health), and tinana ora, (physical health)
She first became interested in massage at the age of 17. It wasn't until she was gifted a massage treatment in 2001 that she got to experience the benefits of massage first hand. The experience was so therapeutic Moana decided that very day she wanted to learn massage. In 2004 she did part time study with the New Zealand College of Massage in Auckland, gaining a Certificate in Relaxation Massage and continues to take interest courses. Moana hopes to be able to offer mirimiri in the near future.
